We hand select the gears then add resin for a smooth finish. The red parts are jewels (usually lab-created ruby) which were used to reduce friction between two metal components that rub against one another. We just love the little pop of color! A Sky Blue Glass Jewel is the perfect finishing touch. The two-tone look & shiny parts really catch the eye.
